Liliia Paysafecash is indeed not very reliable in some countries, The Netherlands being one of them. I would recommend not relying on it in countries where they don't have better partners. Unfortunately the small tobacco shops that Paysafe is partnering with in The Netherlands etc. aren't known for upholding their contractual obligations, as you found out today. They're not directly partners of bunq in any case, it's always through the Paysafecash system. They usually have contracts with larger prepaid/cash solution providers (for example Suntel Telecom) which in turn have contracts with Paysafe Group.

Good to have some feedback in any case. I think bunq should reflect the real-life acceptance situation of Paysafecash better in their app, especially because they have a lot of customers from The Netherlands.

What I want to indicate though is that you're now posting on the community forum, in case you weren't aware. You'll find other bunq customers here, but if you want to talk to someone from bunq you should contact bunq support.

Liliia Keep in mind that a reply from bunq support can take up to a few days, keep your support ticket open and you'll be notified once you have a reply !

Unfortunately, depositing cash isn't really possible in practice with bunq. That's why I also kept my "old" bank account at a traditional bank (Rabobank), among others for those few times a year that I want to deposit cash.

We're reading a lot of posts like yours here on Together, we hope bunq might find a different solution to deposit cash (in the Netherlands)!

Also worüber ich wirklich überrascht bin. In Deutschland funktioniert ja das System von Viacash/Barzahlung echt problemlos. Nie länger als 5 Minuten gewartet und das Geld war gutgeschrieben.

Gibt es denn keinen anderen Zahlungs Anbieter in den Niederlanden er so welche Transaktionen unterstützt?

Davoxx There is in the Netherlands (Geldmaat), but it only works in the Netherlands and currently bunq isn't connected to Geldmaat. Paysafecash should work in a large part of Europe, making it an easy solution for bunq since they're active in ±30 countries. Having a solution for every specific country is much harder than one solution for multiple countries.

Problem is that Paysafecash doesn't work, at least not in the Netherlands.

Talitha Nee dat is wat ik bedoel: bunq zou een samenwerking aan kunnen gaan met Geldmaat (Geldmaat is van Rabobank, ING en ABN AMRO) zodat bunq gebruikers hier gebruik van kunnen maken. Maar hier geldt dus ook weer: het is lastig voor bunq om in 30 verschillende landen in ieder land een andere oplossing te hebben. Al is Nederland natuurlijk ook wel weer de thuisbasis van bunq, dus misschien zou zoiets voor Nederland wel uit kunnen.

Liliia Service is non existent on these so called app only banks, but then, young people don’t want to it for service so it’s what it is. Go to ABN and other for the service and get it. It’s not as good as it was because they are being undercut by these modern service less offerings

Andrew Ah, more service but not specifically customer service, got it! Yes, for some services you need physical infrastructure like ATMs (Geldmaat, for example), that bunq (and other neobanks) lacks.
