  • Unable to activate a card

When I try to activate a card it can't be read. Contactless payment also doesn't work, but presumably because it has to be used via card reader once. Please help.

    @New-Lilac-Chipmunk-1188554738#257434 Hi Nick! Have you activated your card in the bunq app? Indeed you have to insert your card the first time in to a payment terminal to activate contactless payments.

      @thijsoost#257435 Yeah I scanned the QR and then went to AH, and realized that a card does not work :(

        @New-Lilac-Chipmunk-1188554738#257436 If you open your card in the bunq app from the Home page, can you check if it's active?

        By the way, is it a Maestro or Mastercard? Because AH doesn't support Mastercards. In fact, a lot of stores in the Netherland don't support Mastercards.

          Last Q - will this card work in Switzerland?

            @New-Lilac-Chipmunk-1188554738#257443 Yes! In Switzerland Mastercard is broadly accepted! Make sure to enable your card in this country in your card settings.
