@JohnDo#28593 My biggest problem with custom images is the quality: it’s a complete different (printing) technique for applying the artwork compared to what is on a standard card.

Realizing this mock-up would mean that the bunq colors would also be printed differently and will absolutely show in the lower quality. I know this from professional experience (we deal with the same issues on SIM cards that we order for our customers that sometimes require small volumes that can’t be printed in the factory) and also personal experience (I tested this with ING).

What I AM really bothered by is the fact you can’t label cards in ApplePay. If you have multiple AP enabled cards they look identical besides 4 digits. There is no way to label them in your wallet. But this is an Apple issue that bunq has no control over πŸ™„

    I would still prefer something like @WJanson made but if printquality is a big no no then maybe choosing one of the pre-fabric bunq colors in combination with the 🌈 ?

    Gives a clear view at what card to flaunt at the cashier's desk☺️.

    Or maybe inspired by the Apple Pay bunq card.

      Hmmmm you guys force me to make a design also... #Iwillbeback :)

        @WJanson#28683 The longer it takes the more curious we get! @JohnDo

          @Tim#28688 bare with me guys, it's my day off today :) But maybe I will cook something up tonight :) I do have an idea already in my head. It is difficult because we don't want to alter the cool rainbow 🌈 design too much

            I love the rainbow design. Every time I pay with my card I get asked what bank this is because I have such a fancy card. I would be onboard if you could make simply changes to the design but overall I feel bunq cards should look more or less the same. πŸ€ͺ

              Hi guys,
              I made a redesign of the bunq card for several reasons:
              -> When you grab you card out of your wallet there is no fast visual recognition which card you grabbed because the user information is on the back of the card.
              -> With the old design the text was readable if you put your card in your wallet with the chip on top. For me that is strange, because most people would put their card with the chip down in their wallet. That way it is easier to put it in the terminal in one movement :)
              -> The old design had some minor flaws. Like the mastercard logo wasnt aligned properly.

              So, what is I do?
              -> primary position of the card is now with the chip facing down. So I snuffled the text and logo's a bit.
              -> for a quick visual distinction I choose (an advise from @WJanson) a color band on the top. This way it is always visible regardless if you put your card horizontal or vertical in your wallet.
              -> this way we also can keep the cost low because bunq doesn't have to print both sides of the card per user. Ans also we can keep the beautiful rainbow colors to the max.

              Let me know what you guys think of it.

                @JohnDo#28992
                Love it!
                An easy way to distinguish your cards, while keeping costs lower. bunq doesn't need to print on both sides, "only" keep multiple versions in stock.

                My suggestion to @JohnDo was inspirited by the image @Tim posted earlier.

                  @WJanson#28998 Ah yes this is an even better application of the bunq colors, also better then my huge colored squares yes. Nice one @JohnDo & @WJanson πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

                    I'm in doubt if I should make a separate topic about this, because this is a bit off topic.. because it isnt about putting your own image on the card.

                      @JohnDo#29009 Why not? It’s not custom, just a redesign for better recognizable cards when having multiple.

                      ps. Just got a complaint from my GF, she also like this but it's just for "men wallets" (secrid) and not for horizontal woman wallets. I have a secrid though so.. πŸ˜…

                        @Tim#29014 Tsss, my wife also has also a cool secrid :) so, it isn't a guy thing πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚

                          @JohnDo#29017 Yes she also does but they keep switching those like their bags all the time..πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

                            @JohnDo#28992 Like this, just would like the color band a bit bigger (like 2cm), and to choose colors out of like 8 colors or something.

                              @JohnDo#28992 Nicely done πŸ‘πŸ»

                                @ruben#29039 Hmm, I think a bigger band is good suggestion! I'm in some doubt about choosing colors tho. From a users πŸ‘₯ perspective I fully agree with you. But I can imagine it can be expensive if bunq has to order a large amount cards in various colors without knowing which colors will sell the most. πŸ€”

                                  @JohnDo#29057 As the bank of the free I would like to be free to choose my color, but since bunq probably can’t have all colors it could limit to 8 for example. And if its out of stock, then don’t show it as an option ;)

                                    @ruben#29058 Nice solution πŸ‘ 😁

                                      @JohnDo#28992 Improved version after receiving feedback.
                                      - bigger band
                                      - different band colors
