Bij welke verhuurder?

Doorgaans zouden verhuurders je een auto moeten meegeven aangezien de metal card als Credit card word gezien.

Wel handig om te kijken naar je banksaldo, sommige autoverhuurders schrijven tussen de €500-1500,- aan borg af. Mocht dat niet kunnen zou dat de oorzaak kunnen zijn.

If you are renting a car, usually rental company charges a security deposit to the Credit Card. You need to have that amount available in your connected bunq sub account.

Just check if that is the case.
I never had any problems and unused it also today successfully.

@New-Black-Pony-83906231#259514 Er staat dat bunq creditcards een prepaid creditcard zijn, maar dit is niet waar. Deze bedrijven hebben onjuiste informatie over bunq op hun site staan, en zouden bunq Metal cards gewoon moeten accepteren.

just to check, I open an account with Sixt.. fully verified, and I used my bunq Metal MasterCard Credit card and it was accepted with no issues.
So, I guess the local Sixt shop you went to is wrong and as @thijsoost#259517 mentioned earlier, they need to check the card properly which also on the back (in small letters) reports the word "Credit".

Judging from the last thread about Sixt here, because they probably got a warning from Mastercard or something, they accept the cards when you order online. But later they send an email to the customer about them actually not wanting to accept the card. It's not in line with the Mastercard policies, which is why they're probably trying to hide it like this.

You see officially they don't admit to it: https://www.sixt.nl/help-center/articles/betaalmethoden/#/ Here they only say that prepaid cards are not accepted (which is a valid exception to make, but bunq cards aren't prepaid).

But then they send these message to customers. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like Mastercard is taking enough action against them.
