Als ik geld zou overmaken naar buitenland, komen er ook extra bankkosten boven op mijn totaal betaald bedrag?

@New-Purple-Flamingo-1676500629#259642 Where do you want to send the money? What type of transfer are you gonna make?
SEPA payments are always free, it does not matter what country you send them to. For example, pretty much all countries using Euro are also part of SEPA and your payment would usually fall into that category.
Other payment types might differ, but the bunq app would always show you the costs before sending.
@Jakob-Y#259645 Ik wil geld naar Turkye opsturen. hoeveel komt er extra kosten erbij?
@New-Purple-Flamingo-1676500629#262469 You have two options:
I recommend using the „Wise integration“, because it‘ll be a lot cheaper for you.
How to use it? When you choose the currency, tap on „Currency not listed? Use Wise!“ and then only on the next page, choose Turkish Lira:
How much does it cost?
For very high amounts, SWIFT might be better suited, but for most normal bank transfers, I would recommend using Wise 👍
Note from moderators (2025):
The option "Currency not listed? Use Wise!" is no longer available, as the UX has been updated. Now, users can directly select the desired currency and complete the flow without navigating back and forth.
Thank u very much for the information. And indeed it is much cheaper with Wise. Fortunately I already had a Wise account. Super thanks. And it is also much cheaper with the National Bank to transfer money abroad.
Today I transferred money to a Girl friend in Turkye and tomorrow she will already receive it in her account according to the confirmation I just received.
hello Bunq staff, I had transferred 270 Euro to Turkye. From Bunq to Wise account 3.92 Euro has been deducted for transfer costs and from Wise to Turkish bank 36 Euro has been deducted in bank costs. And I had chosen Euro as currency. For that small amount I paid 39.92 Euro in bank charges for that small amount of 270 Euro. Can this be correct? I think that's pretty expensive actually?
