  • debit card add money cost with subscription?

is it the same cost to add money to bunq via a 3rd party debit card regardless of the subscription package you have ? thanks.

@mike123#261144 Hi! Yes, your bunq subscription doesn't change the cost of adding money to your bunq account. Adding money to your bunq account using a card is often free for the first €500 every month.

ok..mine shows 0d free ,maybe i need to upgrade it? also sofort and ideal for ing requires ing division in europe or can be ing bank from USA or Canada ?

@mike123#261146 "0d free"? I've no idea if you'll be able to use iDeal or Sofort from outside Europe.

iDeal is Dutch, so I guess it's only available for Dutch users. I've never used Sofort

@mike123#261146 iDEAL only works with Dutch banks. Sofort is only active in a few European countries. If you want to send money from the US, your cheapest options are these two:

          • Use Wise to send a transfer from your US bank account (via ACH) directly to your European bunq account.
          • Alternatively if you use the Easy Money or Easy Green plan at bunq, you can open a USD local currency account. It comes with domestic US banking details. You can then send an ACH transfer manually from your US bank account to the local currency account. This only costs 70 Eurocents at bunq to receive. Afterwards you can exchange the money to Euro (0.5% exchange fee, very slightly worse than Wise) or you can also directly pay from the USD local currency account.

Both options I have already used many times and they work perfectly for me. They are also by far the cheapest way to transfer money from the US to a European bunq account as far as I'm aware.
