Iban Problem

Hello, my iban is not full of numbers like normal IBAN's. One part of it says BUNQ rather than numbers. So it cannot be used. How can I solve this?

Selin bunq is an official bank and only gives out valid IBANs. Every country has different formats, some consist only of digits, some use the full breadth of alphanumeric characters.

Selin Yes, it‘s normal. All Dutch have the name of the bank as 4 alphabet characters. Other countries might have different formats.

bunq offers IBANs from several different countries. If you have any reason why you would rather like an IBAN from a country other than The Netherlands, then you can get it. But there‘s nothing wrong with the Dutch IBANs 👍

Salma Hi. Unfortunately you usually cannot get your money back if you have transferred it to the wrong IBAN. You can only try to contact the receiving bank's customer service.
