  • Bank transfer processing time from other Dutch account

Hi, I transferred a large sum of money from one of my Dutch accounts into my bunq account. Usually I can see the amount reflect almost immediately in my bunq account but the money is not yet reflecting in my account. The transaction was processed successfully from my other account. When can I expect the funds to be released into my bunq account?

    @New-Red-Butterfly-1207866858#261698 If the transfer hasn't been sent as an instant payment by the other bank, then it will take the normal processing time of a regular bank transfer, which is 1-2 business days.

    For faster money transfers from Dutch bank accounts, I would recommend using the top-up feature through iDEAL. This helps speed things up as you're not relying on the other bank for the instant transfer.

        ING zegt/claimt dat ze directe overboeking ondersteunen tijdens werkdagen maar mijn overboeking vandaag van ING naar bunq (slechts 1000 euro) duurde maar liefst 5 uur om bij bunq bijgeschreven te worden. Het blijkt bankafhankelijk te zijn hoe snel het gaat...

          @Jorgen-Red-Owl#261761 There are several different instant payment networks. ING might send instant payments to other banks, but not to bunq.

But ING is currently only accepting incoming instant payments on the TIPS network. For outgoing instant payments, ING is actually only supporting Worldline, which bunq is not connected to.

          Would be great if ING starts sending outgoing instant transfers to bunq soon, but as of right now they aren't doing it. Your best course of action is to use the iDEAL top-up feature at bunq / send payment requests via bunq.me to let other people pay you via iDEAL directly. That way you're not depending on ING.
