@Tim#43818 But do banks in Germany, Latvia, Spain or Poland also support this e-Mandate thing? Because the institution has to follow European law and can't discriminate against any IBAN that is allowed for direct debit (e.g. they can refuse the IBAN if it's from a bank with for example a saving account where you can't have direct debits at all).
@BasfromtheSide#43943 Why should a bank do everything some company decides it wants? I'd think it should work the other way around. The company has to follow the normal rule and allow direct debits from any bank in the SEPA area.
Probably they can do this anyway, you just can't do this on their website but have to fill in a paper or something.
It's a bit like iDIN, which bunq doesn't have either. It's not mandatory at all. It's a service some banks have. But nobody can force you to have a iDIN, they have to give you some other way to provide your identity if you don't have iDIN.
