  • Betaling Turkse rekening

Heeft een van jullie een alternatief voot WISE payments? Ik neem diensten af in Turkije en kan helaas niet met Bunq betalingen uitvoeren naar een Turkse rekening. Iemand een alternatief?

@New-Taupe-Gemsbok-2913644966#262770 With the local currency accounts you can send SWIFT payments in Turkish Lira to Turkey. They‘re quite expensive to send, but they might be an alternative.

Other than that, you‘re of course free to use any other third-party payment service of your choice. Wise is integrated directly into the bunq app, but that doesn‘t mean that you‘re only allowed to use Wise. There‘s also MoneyGram, XE.com and many others.

thanks for your comment. The moment I register with WISE, I can't, because they indicate that there is the maximum number of members from the Netherlands. But you indicate that WISE is integrated in the Bunq app. Where can I find that I have searched for it without success. Thanks in advance!

@New-Taupe-Gemsbok-2913644966#262803 Tap "Pay" on the Home page, change the currency and tap "My currency is not in the list" at the bottom. From there you'll be using Wise.

@New-Taupe-Gemsbok-2913644966#262803 It‘s is indeed integrated, but you still need a Wise account to use the integration.

I‘m not sure what the maximum number of members is about. You could try to create the Wise account through the bunq app and see if the same limitation holds, or ask Wise for advice directly.

If you cannot create a Wise account, there are a number of different other third-parties that offer cheap and fast transfers of money to Turkey.

Thank you for your responses. Unfortunately it still didn't work, they would like to have euros in a Turkish account. Wise indicates that the maximum number of members for this country (the Netherlands) has been reached. Other parties that support transfers from the Netherlands to Turkey in Euros as far as I know only support cash collection, this is not an option for me. Sincerely, Bruno

@New-Taupe-Gemsbok-2913644966#262967 they would like to have euros in a Turkish account.

Ah, yeah that's a crucial piece of information. At bunq you cannot directly send Euro via SWIFT transfer. You can send other currencies like USD, GBP or TRY, but not Euros. That only works through a third-party like Wise or maybe someone else, but it seems like you have already researched this and weren't able to find another suitable service. Too bad that Wise doesn't take new customers from The Netherlands, for me it has always been a great platform over the years. I wonder what's up with that, normally companies are happy about more customers.
