  • Top-up with TransferWise?

I'm really happy about the TransferWise integration for sending payments, however for me, the exact opposite would be more important: sending payments TO my bunq account via TransferWise faster and cheaper.

Can we expect this in the near future?

    @JozsefKiraly#41549 I don’t understand how this should work. If you want to sent mi es from another account via transferwise to your bunq account you need to make that transfer from your other account anyway. How should bunq integrate it that you can top up your account from another bank account?

      @JozsefKiraly#41549 Hi Jozsef,

      TransferWise is an awesome way to move money across borders, so it's the perfect way to get money into your bunq account from another overseas bank.

      Fortunately this is possible now! You just need to go to TransferWise.com and start a transfer from whatever your other currency is, to Euros.

      When TransferWise asks you for the receiving account, just enter your bunq iBAN. Then follow the rest of the process, and the money will land in your bunq account once it's processed by TransferWise 🎉

      Cheers,
      Tom

        @Lexa-kom-Trikru#41557 I see two options:

        1. TransferWise top-up option in-app. I enter my card info (or link my TW account), enter the amount, send it, and TW, after receiving my payment, instead of doing a separate SEPA transfer, credits Bunq towards my account then sends the payments batched (thus lowering fees, etc.)

        2. The same basic principle, but instead of connecting my Bunq and TW accounts, whenever TW detects a transfer to a Bunq IBAN number (and it's pretty easy to do that...), they follow the procedure detailed above.

        This would mean faster transfers (instead of waiting up to 12 hours a workday, and up to 48 hours in case of a weekend), and less fees for both Bunq and the end user.

          @Tom#41748 Thanks, I'm aware of this. But it's still kinda expensive and slow, especially compared to e.g. Revolut, who can do direct debit/credit top-up from payment cards, instantly. If you see my above suggestion, that would offer a cheaper, simpler and faster solution working with TransferWise.
