@Dennis-Cyan-Badger-2008152229#42153 This is exactly what should happen
@Xelation#42162 Hi Xelation,
That is the case- thanks for clarifying! Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂.
@Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#42149 I don’t think that is what others have experienced, including myself. It ended after only one week...
Can you please fix this. Invite and referer should get the same conditions, otherwise this will just create a lot of extra work on your end (people inviting themselves with new accounts).
@Roeshimi#42160 So why did non-premium users receive an email about this? 😏
What exactly covers the “spending limit of 250 euro’s”? Only offline payments or also online payments such as bunq.me, ideal or even transferring money to other bankaccounts?
@Robert-Pink-Puma-2305732921#42172 This seems to be an error on bunq's end
@Ceddiecedster#42174 as far as I know, card payments (online / offline), iDeal, direct debits, but not transfers between your own accounts. I haven't found an explicit specification of all the types of payments that do/do not count.
@Roeshimi#42175 I don't know about that, I know a bunq More user that got the email, and that person can also send a special invite.
@Sander#42178 It would seem strange that you would not be able to withdraw your own money. Say, your invite deposits €1000 euro’s, they would need to wait four months to get it back...
@Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#42169 Thanks, I may not have formulated it correctly but I guess what everyone’s asking is €250,- aka €250,- free spending cash?
#fml I upgraded to premium just a couple hours ago after freeloading for two years (free card, €0,04 per transaction). Just because I wanted Apple Pay. The thing is I never spend more than €200 per month with my bunq card, so this would have been perfect for me :(
@Ceddiecedster#42180 Agree, so maybe it's possible to make manual transfers, as said, I can't find an explicit specification, so until bunq provides this I can't really tell for sure.
@Xelation#42182 bunq doesn't hand out cash for free. You need to deposit money first, but you can only spend €250,- per month using e.g. your card. If you need to spend more, you'll need to upgrade to full Premium.
Hi all,
When we launched our card improvements, we gave all users a chance to invite new users to explore bunq Premium with a monthly spending limit of €100. Now, we increased that monthly limit to €250. Invited users can use all features of bunq Premium until they reach this monthly limit. This includes any type of payment (card payments, transfers etc).
Hopefully this clears up some of your questions and thanks again for sharing your feedback with us 🌈.
Cheers
@NS#42183 Exactly this! Only I upgraded yesterday :-)
And now for the ham question ;) is it possible to close your account and have someone invite you? Or is there a redemption period in place?
It’s so sad. I invited a friend after receiving the email to invite a friend to use 250 per month. My girlfriend accepted and now she only can use 100. After contacting bunq they told me I should’ve updated the app before I invited her. The mail I received did not mention updating so I thought it was included in the new bunq 9 update, which it didn’t. Now she can’t use 250 euro but 100 and they can’t do anything about it. I’m pretty dissappointed at this point.
What happens when you go over the 250 limit? Are you then automatic premium?
Actually, the 250 euro limit would have been a perfect way for me to really evaluate Bunq without needing to pay 8 euro per month or downgrade to free (but no cards)..
I can't help feel a bit cheated ;-(
@Bianca-Red-Llama-3853221407#42130 This is so unclear, why can't you just put down the terms and conditions in the email that was sent to your users as well as the one going out to the invitee? And put them here so one doesn't have to go through the thread to get partial info only. The biggest conundrum is what ever happens after the person spent 250? Cards get blocked? They pay per transaction?
@Ernst-Navy-Leopard#42225 when you spend 250€ in a month you can't make any more transfers/payments. To remove the blockage you then have to wait until the new month starts or upgrade to full-Premium.
