• Update: limited chance to invite a friend

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all your enthusiasm at bunq Update #9! It surely was a night to remember. We’d love to celebrate this special moment with you.

Until November 14th, we're giving you a limited chance to share Bank of the Free with a friend. With the newest version of the app you can invite one extra person to explore all Premium features. That special someone can have a set of Maestro and Mastercards for free (with an increased monthly spending limit of €250). Please bear in mind that this only applies to new bunq users.

We’d love to hear who you invited to join Bank of The Free!

Cheers,

Bianca

    How is this different? How long is the premium enabled? I received only 1 week due to poor communication :/

      Would that person have the premium features forever?

        @Bianca-Red-Llama-3853221407#42130 Does this special person needs to be completely new at bunq? Or can it be someone with a free account?

          @jvdz#42139 I hope the latter

            What will be the time frame for the invited user to experience premium? If and when the period is over the user will fallback to the normal premium pricing plan or to a free plan?

            Thanks and keep the awesome work

              What does the increased monthly spending limit mean? And are you saying bunq premium is free to try for 6 days? 🤨

                Super vague mailing haha

                For what time periode is the trial valid without costs. And what does “increased monthly spending limit of €250,-“ mean, FREE €250,- to spend? Or €250,- to spend in debt?

                  From what I understand, the promo is without an expiration date. All Premium features are included. The only limit is the spending limit. Previously the limit was on €100,- per month, this has now been increased (temporarily?).

                  Before it was not possible to invite existing bunq users (bunq Free/More), I'm not aware of a change, but that would be really useful tbh! 😁

                    Can I use this as a chance to go Premium myself?

                      @Maarten-Red-Badger#42137 @Joao-Pink-Bear#42141 Hi Maarten and Joao,

                      There is currently no time limit on how long the person can experience Premium features for 👍.

                      Cheers

                        @jvdz#42139 @Sharna-Cyan-Llama#42146 Hi Joris & Sharna,

                        This chance is only available for new users who haven't already signed up with us 🙂.

                        Cheers

                          I’m struggling to understand the benefit to the user of referring a friend. If I have to pay for the same benefits then this seems unfair.

                            As a bunq free user, it's strange to invite Friends to have more options then yourself... Can you upgrade bunq free users to the new promo account?

                              @Steven-Teal-Frog#42143 @Xelation#42144 Hi there,

                              The increased spending limit is for €250 per month. This means that the new bunqer who receives the invite and signs up can then spend up to €250 each month with their membership for no additional costs 👍.

                              Cheers

                                @Lewis-Golden-Badger#42152 You don't have the same benefits. The 250€ restriction is pretty hefty, unless you can live with only spending 250€ per month without sacrificing anything.
                                I would imagine, bunq wants to attract new users that need more than the 30 day trial to convince themselves in paying for bunq

                                  Can we invite ourself and close our account and reopen it? Why would i invite a Friend to have more options then myself? Not so user friendly

                                    @Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#42154 "€250 each month for free" sounds like you would give new users invited this way 250€ every month. I assume that is not the case ;-)

                                      @Dennis-Cyan-Badger-2008152229#42158 You need to be premium to invite a user so you don't have less options that the invited user

                                        @Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#42154 Free as in no transaction fees and no subscription cost? 🙈 when I read your comment I still read something else. For a second I thought bunq is giving away free money to spend haha
