Metal Card shipping

Hi bunqers,

are metal cards shipped to Germany using Standard DHL Express shipping? Or are any special identity verification options enabled?
Unfortunately, the DHL express emplyee was a bit lazy today and didn't show up.
My question would be whether my girlfriend would be able to receive the parcel tomorrow or not. She has a written authorisation to do so for all my standard parcels, but I know that this would be sufficient for some of DHL's "Eigenhändig" verification options.
What are your experiences?

Dennis I had to sign when they delivered my Metal card, but it was delivered at a DHL pickup point. Can't you just also send it to a pickup point?

Dennis Just a normal tracked parcel in my experience so she should be fine.

Thijs That signature won't be a problem. As long as they didn't needed to see you ID card / passport no identity verification is envolved. 😊

Dennis Oh I also had to show my ID, that's necessary for all postal services (at least in the Netherlands) at pickup points
