How to set up regular payments into my bunq account from a normal bank account

Is there a way of setting up regular payments from a regular bank into your bunq account that is not via credit card?

Gunther Harald Yes! Most banks support recurring payments. If you create a payment from your other bank to one of your bunq IBANs (displayed at the top of every sub-account), there's probably an option to create a recurring payment.

Thijs I’m not able to do that via my bank, it doesn’t cater for recurring payments outside of Italy, so I was hoping I could create a recurring payment from Bunq to my bank

Gunther Harald Unfortunately, that's not possible as far as I know. You could send yourself a recurring payment request from bunq and let it send an email or sms to you every week/month.

Gunther Harald Doesn't your bank support recurring payments to accounts outside Italy? Or only to Italian IBANs?

Because maybe bunq supports Italian IBANs soon, then your problem might be fixed!

Thijs It doesn’t seem like it does, I can create the transfer, but it is once off SEPA. Recurring payments don’t show any foreign iBAN numbers so I think you can only do recurring transfers in Italy. I’m hoping Bunq gets an Italian IBAN soon, otherwise it’s a nightmare. Have also asked the bank for advice

Gunther Harald It's really strange that in some countries banks and institutions still don't accept certain IBANs. All IBANs are equal and should all be accepted from a legal perspective. Any company that doesn't is doing it illegal.
