I have a bunq Founder metal card, which cost 99 euros at the time to be able to plant trees. Bunq’s message at the time was “it will last much longer than a plastic card so it’s better for the environment!”. Now, two years on, the lamination is letting go and the card is literally splitting in two. I carry it in a card holder and rarely use it because I generally pay with Apple Pay. Replacing it will cost 129 euros…
At this rate my plastic card is holding up a lot better than the metal one…
Bunq can do better in my opinion. A free replacement at the least.
