Deborah Belachelijk dat vreemde zonder toestemming geld van m’n rekening kunnen plunderen!
That's how credit/debit card networks work. Third parties that know your card credentials can use them to receive money from you. For example, when you put your card into a payment terminal in a store, the merchant's PSP uses your credentials for this purpose. This has indeed potential for misuse, the phenomenon is called "card fraud" and here's more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_card_fraud
Nog vreemder dat wij het zelf moeten oplossen. Bij mijn weten zijn hun mijn bank en werken hun voor ons! Dus is dit hun wek!
The bank does not automatically know that a particular payment wasn't legitimate. At bunq, there's a very easy process: you can send a report directly from the app with just a few finger taps, without having to compose any message or call any number. Even freezing or blocking the card in question can be done in seconds. I agree that it would be best for card fraud to not be a thing at all, but in comparison with other banks, the procedures at bunq make it quick and easy to deal with it and the advanced security features make it unlikely to become a victim in the first place.
