• [Suggestion] Fix the Ideal categorization bug

Okay, apparently this is not a bug according to support; but it is. Let me explain and hopefully some developer understands.

so if I make an ideal payment there is a default category. If I make a payment at Amazon I like it to be shopping, but if I make an ideal payment at New York Pizza I want it to be ‘food & drinks’ instead of shopping, right? So I press ‘change all similar transactions’ for the New York pizza ideal payment.

Guess what; all my other ideal payments (Amazon, Albert Heijn, Zalando, you name it) get the category ‘food & drinks’ too, while it is not even the same payment, completely different merchant! Even payments in previous months gets updated which affects the entire history!

So my suggestion would be fix the ideal categorization bug, which (according to support) is how it is supposed to be.

@TimW#273406 Because of iDeal, bunq is unable to recognize the category of the payment. Not sure if bunq is able to fix this, or it is unfixable because of iDeal.

@thijsoost#273415 this sounds a bit short sighted since the ideal payment contains a reference / merchant / description which can be used.

@TimW#273423 Probably bunq does nothing of this by themselves but uses 3rd party APIs like https://tapix.io or the MCC codes from card payments. With iDEAL payments, this is not really applicable.

@Jakob-Y#273441 I get that, but as I read Tapix API documentation transaction description can be used to enrich a transaction. And this is the difference between ideal transactions. So there are definitely options, and knowing ideal is the most used payment option in the Netherlands somebody must have figured it out already.
