• Fast Transfer from ING to BUNQ, slow from BUNQ to ING(a few days).

Last Friday I transferred money from an dutch ING account to a bunq account (both business accounts). The money transferred instantaneously, the transffered amount was immediatly visible in the BUNQ app.

But I also had to transfer, for another business, some money from a BUNQ account to an ING account. The money is deducted from the BUNQ account, but still, after 2 days, not visible in the ING account.
Maybe because it was 'Good Friday' when I did the transfer, I think that is marked as a 'bank holiday', and now with eastern, I expect to see the money coming in on Tuesday, after Easter Monday..

So I wonder why transfers from ING to BUNQ does happen in 'real-time' and the other way absolutly not. Both transfers were made on Good Friday ( 7 April 2023). I have no clue how inter-banking transfers happens, but I'm wondering why it is doesn't take the same time both ways to the same banks on the same day.

Any one got a clue?

@Paul-Pink-Dolphin#276715 Because ING supports outgoing TIPS transfers (TIPS is a Instant Payment network) but doesn't support incoming TIPS transfers. Bunq supports both.

The transfer is then sent as a SEPA transfer which takes 1-2 business days.

That sounds very plausible. Thanks for explaining.

I did raise an formal complaint to BUNQ as they had twice taken a very long time to settle my top up via FLASH. Indeed BUNQ replied that all the money is was received well at BUNQ but they might take upto 5 days to check and release my own money added via Flash from my own ING bank.

This is redicoulouse, an manual money transfer is there within 24:00 and is more reliable. ING Germany stops even their 'office hours from 14:00 on the Friday till Monday morning', adding up these waiting days will add to the maximum of 5 days BUNQ needs to release it.
