How much time will it take if I am transferring money from my bank account to IBAN of BUNQ?
How much time will it take if I am transferring money from my bank account to IBAN of BUNQ?
@Ganeshdip-Orange-Butterfly#44349 Instantly, if you use the 'top up' function in bunq!
@Jeffrey-K#44352 Actually, I have not used topup. I asked one of my friend to transfer money to my IBAN and his bank is Sparkasse.
@Ganeshdip-Orange-Butterfly#44353 I'm not sure! It is slower when you transfer using IBAN. I think it takes up to a day!
@Jeffrey-K#44355 Ok. Thanks. I will wait till tomorrow then.
The Sparkasse supports usually two kinds of SEPA transfers. Normal SEPA transfers are supposed to arrive on the next working day (when been initiated during business hours of the Sparkasse). SEPA instant Transfers (Echtzeitüberweisung) will arrive within few seconds.
@dwaldmannDE#44359 Due to their new Terms & Conditions German Sparkasse takes a fee of 0.50 € for each outgoing instant payment.
@Ganeshdip-Orange-Butterfly#44353 which Sparkasse? as a lot of Sparkasse in Germany and Austria are on SCT INST already, it should arrive almost immediately the same day, every day, 356/24/7, at this list: https://www.europeanpaymentscouncil.eu/sites/default/files/participants_export/sepa_instant_credit_transfer/sepa_instant_credit_transfer.pdf?v=1539340865 you can find if your banks are amongst them.
@DaveFlash#44412 But most of them charge extra for SCT Inst (between 0,25EUR and 5EUR), so the preselected standard is the slower SEPA Transaction. My Sparkasse charges 1,50EUR for an Instant Payment.
@SimonM#44414 Wtf? Are you serious? Dutch banks ABN and bunq who already are on EU SCT Inst, do not charge anything for it at all, you and your friend should complain to them that this is not in the spirit of the EU single market and that you are appalled at this practice. But don’t feel left out by these Dutch banks, as ABN still does not submit all outgoing payments as instant, only one time transfers initiated by consumers from the mobile banking app or at the online banking portal will go out as instant from ABN, so for me, I’m not getting the money to bunq immediately as my bookkeeping software communicates with the batch system from ABN and sadly those aren’t processed instantly yet. The same goes for standing orders, those also don’t go out instant at ABN. But bunq's implementation should be taken as an example by the other banks as bunq has gone all the way on the sepa instant scheme and sends out all payments as instant to the European banking system, so even if it’s a transfer to a non instant bank, bunq has submitted it as instant from their end. Same with all incoming transactions, bunq processes them as instant regardless of the sending bank. This also includes the new batch file function from update 9, those are also send out as instant from bunq's system, at no additional cost.
