• Description doesn't show all payment info

While doing my quarterly bookkeeping, it occurred to me that other banks show more transaction data than bunq does. In particular, bunqโ€™s omission of an 'Auth'-code makes it difficult to match up receipts.

Would it be possible, at least in export files or export through 'connect', to include more payment data?

    Hi Casper! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for your feedback and proposal on this.

Indeed this is something that could be interesting for other bunqers. What do you guys think ? ๐ŸŒˆ

Never used an Auth code to match receipts. Sounds interesting.

Can you show us an example with a photo of a receipt?

Is it printed on every single PIN receipt?

I think it's on every pin-receipt or payment info section. Usually in the bottom. Look for "Auth. code" followed by a combination of six digits and letters.

Moneybird (and probably other services too) uses the transaction description to match up the receipt with the correct transaction. It needs some unique number in order to function properly.

Hey Raรบl, let me rephrase my question for you. What would be the reason not to have more data in the transaction description? Especially in the exports, you want access to data discerning transactions from one another.

Right now, it is possible to have two identical transactions in my history without knowing which transaction belongs to which purchase.

            You're absolutely right, Casper.

Sometimes we have to make decisions on which features we implement or which information we show. In cases like this, it's good to have your input, as we can now check what we can change ๐Ÿ‘

Could be? It sounds strange not to deliver the full data

I would like to bring this topic into focus. Is this being fixed? I get that you don't provide timelines or information on upcoming features, but I wouldn't consider this a feature. It's actually quite baffling that bunq came to the decision to omit part of the transaction details to their users. Could someone provide an update on this?

                  Hey there,

Our product team always checks these topics, next to that they also check the data they collected.

We can't give any timelines, but be sure this is being looked into.

Please be aware that no bank (that I'm aware of) shows all data of payments, a choice has to be made somewhere ๐Ÿ‘

                  Thanks

Thanks for the (as always) quick response! Yes, a three paragraph description field isn't optimal either. Hopefully, the bunq devs can decide on how to improve it soon. I'm holding on to ING for a business account because of this...

                        @Koen-Orange-Swan#3224 Hi Koen,

I posted this similar topic here: https://together.bunq.com/d/253-transaction-reference-number-trn

I agree that a choice has to be made on which transaction details are to be shown, but I think that the mere TRN (transaction reference number) is a must nowadays.

Revolut, as an example amogst the others, does show that on their transfer confirmations: see here.

Ancora nulla sulla introduzione del trn code nella ricevuta? Sarebbe molto utile e credo non difficile da implementare

Wow canโ€™t believe itโ€™s more than 2 years ago. Still the description field in the card transactions do not show any relevant information. Weird
