Sheldon π¬π§π¬π·π§π¬ I'm fairly certain that removing the description option isn't the best banking experience for your users. It's also not user friendly or efficient. Yes, creating a payment request is now one step quicker. But you removed a vital feature that all other banks do have (for good reason).
What about adding the option to add a payment description on a different page? For example, on the page where you choose the amount. That way, you still keep the amount of steps minimal, but you have all the options. Or return it to how it was, which was fine for most users I suppose.
