Dear sir/madam, I opened two business accounts recently for my companies. I planned to run most of my finances through bunq in the coming years. But I also opened a personal account , with a local currency subaccount to experiment a bit with the features. Now I am contemplating to leave the bank completely for once and for all because of 0.48 cents... there is 0.48 cents on my local currency account. I cannot make this to 0.00 (in order to close the personal account), even if I just try to donate this money to anyone or just let bunq have it, without having to incur 10 euro swift transaction fees. I have been wasting a hour or so of my life to be able to accomplish this, and all I get is a bot if I raise a support ticket. To all bunq supporters and other business people who plan to bank here, please don't open a local currency account. It seems that you can't get rid of it. I hope the bunq support can help me close the account (you can have the 0.48 cents) ASAP before I incur monthly costs again for an account I DO NOT need anymore. Sincerely, Dr Z
Very dissatisfied with Bunq's local currency account and technical features!

@Chao-Purple-Frog#287402 If you contact support, you first get an automated response. If your question isn't answered, just send a second message to contact a human support employee.

@Chao-Purple-Frog#287402 Hey there 👋 Thanks for reaching out about this! Luckily, thanks to our partnership with Wise, you can send money in USD much cheaper than with a SWIFT payment 🙌 You can check out how, here ✨
Please keep in mind that if you close your Personal account, to which the USD account is connected, you'll also need to close your Business accounts, since they're all connected to you Personal account.

Thank you for trying to help. But I already send a second message and no-one responds. The main issue is that I just seek to close the Local currency account. I have 0.48 cents of funds on it. It just seems that you can't get rid of this account unless you incur transfer costs additionally to make the account 0,00. This is just absolutely ludicrous. Any other bank will allow you to close an account, and provide an alternative account to deal with the remaining funds .. I simply refuse to pay extra to close an account. So far for the the "bank for the free"....
addendum: I finally found out the solution myself so I will share it here for anyone to read .
The solution to closing a local currency account is in principle simple:
Top up above 1$ in the local currency account
Convert this to ie Euros to your normal account to get to 0 dollar.
It sounds very simple, yet it is made technically very confusing and difficult. Because the "convert" currency option is under the "ADD" money button....

@Chao-Purple-Frog#287453 If you've sent a second message, you'll have to wait for bunq to respond. A response can take a few days.
