As Tricount is fully running on bunqās infrastructure now, we want to unfold the appās potential and introduce you to its key features to enhance your experience š
Should I add my expenses manually?
Newly signed up Tricount users
Upon signing up, a Free Credit Card will be automatically given to you. This feature allows for automatic tracking and recording of your expenses, removing the necessity for manual input. Enjoy this and other new benefits, with any monthly costs or hidden fees.
Existing Tricount users
If you donāt want to get a Free Credit Card from the Card tab, youāll have to manually input your expenses. Want to quickly calculate your expenses before adding them? Simply tap on any symbol at the top of the keyboard and the keyboard calculator will get started.
Note: Currently, the keyboard calculator feature is available only for iOS users.
How can I sign up for a Free Credit Card?
If you're new to Tricount, you'll receive your Free Credit Card as part of your sign-up process. If you're already a part of the Tricount family, youāll have to sign up for the Free Credit Card by following these steps:
- Tap on the Credit Card icon
- Fill in your personal details
- Add your phone number. We'll send you a confirmation code
- Set up a Security Code (your login password)
- Add your Tax Identification Number
- Verify your identity
- Get your free Credit Card via Tricount āØ

How can I create or delete a tricount?
To create a Tricount, follow the steps below:
- Open the Tricount app
- Click on the + sign in the center
- Adjust and add participants accordingly
To delete a tricount, follow these steps:
- Go to the Tricount app
- Long-press the tricount you want to delete
- Delete
Can I change my tricount's emoji?
While weāre working on improving the emoji suggestions for your tricounts, you can now change and choose any emoji you like. Just followe these steps:
- Go to š tricounts
- Tap on the tricount menu
- Tap āEditā
- Tap on the emoji and change it
How many people can be part of one tricount?
You can add up to 50 people (including you). People can be added within the creation of a tricount or later by following the steps mentioned here:
- Go to the Tricount app
- Tap on the tricount in question
- Tap on the menu in the top right corner

- Enter the new participant
- Tap on āSaveā
- Done ā
How can I remove a participant?
If you want to remove a participant who has left the tricount but still appears in the list of participant, follow these steps:
- Go to the Tricount app
- Tap on the tricount in question
- Tap on the menu in the top right corner
- Tap on āEditā
- Tap on the X next to the participantās name (only visible if participant isnāt mentioned in any expense)
- Tap on Save at the very bottom
- Done ā
The removed participant will be notified of their removal but can still settle their balance. However, they wonāt be able to add new expenses or appear in the list of participants when adding a new expense.
Can I archive and restore a tricount?
To archive a tricount, follow these steps:
- Open Tricountās overview
- Tap and hold on the desired tricount for 2 seconds
- Tap on Archive
To restore it and enter the archived list, follow these steps:
- Open the Tricount app
- Tap on āArchived tricountsā at the bottom of the regular Tricount list
- Tap on a tricount of your choice
- Tap on āRestoreā
How can I add or delete an expense?
To add an expense, follow these steps:
- Go to the Tricount app
- Tap on the tricount in question
- Tap on + sign
- Adjust the expense
To delete an expense, follow these steps:
- Go to the Tricount app
- Tap on the tricount in question
- Long-press the expense you want to delete
- Delete
How can I edit a transaction?
- Go to the tricounts tab
- Select a tricount
- Tap on the transaction you want to edit
- Tap Edit
- Select Edit Transfer
- Edit whatever you want to change (date, amount, participants, currency, title, category, type)
- Tap Save
Can I split an expense unevenly?
The share of each participant can be adjusted by clicking on the "Equally" button in the Split area when creating an expense. You can then increase the share of each participant by manually editing their share or amount.
Example: Thereāre 3 roommates using Tricount to divide a rent of $1,050: Alex contributes $400, Bryan contributes $350, and Julia contributes $300. When you add this expense, you can use these figures as shares or as individual amounts.

How can I add a reimbursement (transfer) or income?
You add a reimbursement like a new expense, but you have to switch it to a "transfer". You can also mark a reimbursement suggested by the app as "paid" directly in the Balances screen via the "Mark as paidā option.
I received a link to a tricount. How can I join?
Ta on the link that you received on your phone. The app handles the rest.
Does Tricount work with different currencies?
Tricount enables you to create tricounts using a single currency. You can enter expenses in different currencies. However, if the default currency is EUR, the reimbursement suggestion will be shown in EUR, regardless of the currencies of your expenses.
The amount is converted according to the market rate and the app provides you with a daily exchange rate.
You can also manually edit the rate for a currency at any time for each expense. In that case, you can decide whether or not to use it for future expenses. This setting will not impact the expenses that other participants add to the tricount.
