I'm experiencing difficulties when trying to add my billing details and payment method across different platforms. I prefer using a Mastercard, either physical or virtual, but I'm facing rejection issues. Typically, the process begins smoothly when I enter my credit card information. Notably, these cards work fine for other payments.
This problem occurs not just with Amazon Web Services but also with Google Cloud.
Here are the steps I follow quite similarly on both platforms:
- Choose "Credit Card" as the payment method.
- Enter the credit card details (card number, expiration date, CVC, cardholder's name).
- Accurately fill in the required address information.
- Attempt to submit the payment method.
- Get redirected to bunq's authorization page.
- Receive a notification in my bunq app and approve the transaction (a $1 charge is made).
- In the browser, I'm redirected back to the Payment Dashboard where a green bar indicates success.
Yet, in an instant after this process:
- The $1 is refunded, and the payment method remains unverified.
- I have experienced this issue repeatedly.
AWS support informed me that they received an AuthorizationCanceled status from bunq, even though my bunq account shows "Merchant has refunded the payment". Google Cloud seems to be encountering the same issue.
Given that this behavior is consistent across both AWS and Google Cloud, and there’s an explicit cancellation from bunq, it appears that resolving this issue requires intervention from bunq’s side.
