Cor Unfortunately, it's a bit more complicated than that!
There are several Instant Payment networks in Europe. Bunq supports sending and receiving money on the largest two networks: TIPS and RT1. A transfer is only instant if both the sending and receiving bank support the same network. But even then, for various reasons, a payment may not be able to be sent as an Instant Payment. The transaction then falls back to a regular SEPA transfer, which takes 1-2 business days.
I also often transfer money between bunq and Rabobank, and in my experience the transaction is instant almost every time.
Tip: if you want the transfer to be instant, use a payment request which you can pay using iDeal. Then the transfer will be instant.
