• Delayed payments

When you do an update and suddenly add delayed payment, make sure it customer can decide if he wants to enable it or not. It was enabled with me, while I wasn’t aware of it and when I went to the cardealer, I could not buy the car as you prevent the payment arrive immidiatly and had to leave the cardealer with empty hands. Drove for nothing 3 hours as he didnt want me to give the car as I have an option to cancell the payment as it seem to be a delayed payment. I turned it of after I discovered it was on by default with the update in July, but it will be changed after 24 hours so very useless. I don’t get the point of a delayed payment. If you are making a payment, your goal is to make it arrive asap. With cash you dont have this problem and I could bought the car. Now I waisted like 6 hours of my time

Hey there @Kenan-Violet-Bear#296547 👋 Thanks for reaching out and being an active member of our community!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience at the car dealership. We understand how important it is for payments to go through smoothly and promptly, especially in such situations.

The Delayed Payments feature was introduced as an additional security measure to protect our users from potential fraud. If a payment raises our suspicion, we delay the processing of that payment and notify you of the delay. This gives you the opportunity to review and cancel the payment if you never intended to send it.

However, we understand that not all users may find this feature beneficial. That's why we've made it possible for you to disable Delayed Payments. Once you've disabled this feature, all your payments will be processed instantly. Please note that it takes 24 hours for this change to be effective.

Here's how you can disable Delayed Payments:

    1. Go to 👤 Profile tab
    2. Tap on ⚙️ Settings
    3. Tap on Security
    4. Tap on Delayed Payments
    5. Confirm that you know the risks and toggle it off
    6. You’ll receive an email informing you that in 24 hours change will be effective
    7. After 24 hours the change will be effective and all your payments will be processed instantly

We truly appreciate your feedback and we're always working on improving our features based on user experiences. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach back out to us, we're here to help 🌈

@yboru-Taupe-Leopard#296548 You should also add an extra option to accept the outgoing payment instead of showing only cancel option. What’s the point of reviewing it when you can’t push on a button to say it is ok, instead of only the option to cancel it when it is indeed not ok. Both options should be available in my opinion.

What is this nonsense?? I just want to send money from my savings account to my ING account and this is now impossible there is nothing to toggle off in the app?? And I cannot find the payment I made earlier in any of the tabs... finding out how Buns works is too difficult

This security feature was introduced during a period when a large number of bunq users were being scammed and unknowingly transferring money to fraudsters. The feature was designed to prevent users from losing their money by giving them a chance to cancel the payment before it was processed.

This feature holds payments for 24 hours before they are executed. However, it can be disabled in the security settings of the bunq app.
