Or use 'gelijk oversteken', it cost a little, but scammers don't want to use this service, so you have a extra 'layer to detect scam'.
@Polderdijk#47250 Unless they put a brick in a box and send that to you.
@Sander#47231 "However I still recommend you to report it, you never know!"
@Petervdv#47300 No, the receiver have 5 days to approve the transaction, or to start a investigation.
Its not a COD/Rembours service.
@Qarizma#47302 yes, exactly. People don't take it serious, because in most cases the police can't spend the efforts. But when everyone thinks like "nah, I won't report it, nothing good will come from it anyway" organised crime will also become increasingly hard to detect for the Police. So yes, without joking, always report crime. It might not benefit yourself directly, but definitely could be helpful to prevent the same from happening to others. 😁 #onehappyworld
@Polderdijk#47304 O that's smart, didn't know that :)
Wait so there are no chargebacks?! I’m from California but love in Germany. In California we can just hit the chargeback button and get the money back.
@Graham-Olive-Wolf#47347 But how does that work, that's super sensitive to fraud right? Say you sell something to someone, the other party paid and you send the package, and then the other party charges back.. you lost your money.
Unfortunately, I got scammed two times on Marktplaats.nl. The second time, I made a report at the Dutch police on Politie.nl. A year thereafter, I got a report from the public prosecution service (OM) to arrange compensation.
Banks usually don’t give away personal information. I suggest you collect as much evidence as possible to make a report at the police. If you’re lucky, the OM will start prosecution after a while and you maybe able to arrange compensation.
Furthermore I will suggest to use ‘Gelijk oversteken’ or PayPal in the future. Those are the best options on Marktplaats to prevent yourself from being scammed again.
@Petervdv#47400 Gelijk Oversteken on Marktplaats is not based on chargebacks.
The buyer pays for the product, but Marktplaats will set a hold on the money. As soon as the buyer confirms he r the product, Marktplaats will transfer the money to the buyer. If the buyer doesn’t confirm the delivery within seven days, Marktplaats will lift the hold on the money too.
@Qarizma#47226 it is definitly not useless, friend of mine got scammed and reported it, a few weeks later she got an call from the police, there were multiple reports of that person, and they were already on investigation on him, and arrested him.
I got scammed how do I report it on the bunq app?
@annabell#282857 Please go to: https://nl.bunq.com/report
@thijsoost#282858 thanks I did, now they say I have to inform my bank but bunq is the bank! What can u do
@annabell#282859 Best to contact bunq support then (Profile > Support centre).
@thijsoost#282860 I did and they say I should contact my bank but bunq is a bank!
@annabell#282877 You contacted bunq support and they told you to contact bunq support? Sound strange... But please try explaining that further to them instead of here on Together, since we users cannot help you with this, unfortunately.
You don't have a bank account at a different bank? You mentioned you got scammed, where did the money go? Maybe bunq support meant you need to contact the bank that received your money?
@thijsoost#282878 this is a travel card I used and bunq is the bank where I transferred my money to this card. They told me I should contact my bank but why when my money is on here and someone copied my card (obviously) I told them to get my lonely back cuz this person who used my card tried to get 455$ from my bank and also paid some drinks from wizz air! I lost my card for some months ago and ordered a new one changed my pin etc but this person copied everything. It’s so weird I try to contact bunq but I can’t find there number kr anything
Now I have to make a police report
