I have been using tricount for some years now, have encountered an pain when using the app.
Me and my colleges who share flat have a pain when using Tricount. It does not have the functionality to split a supermarket receipt for each product. We always have to write on the ticket who is going to "use" each product in order to split the expense between us.
A way to overcome this is integrating a new feature in Tricount for receipts, were you upload a photo of the ticket and the app recognizes each item and price (with a trained OCR like Klippa) so it asks the user in a dynamic way item by item who is going to use it (with a swiping-like interface).
I think building this product could be an opportunity to differentiate Tricount in the "sharing a flat" segment.
