I have setup a savings account for my kids. They have read only access to the account , and I noticed that they do not see the balance in the account overview. Is that by design? And why is that?

Do they see the % in the overview tab? If so, it is by design. You can then see the account balance underneath the account logo after tapping/opening the account.
I used the personal account, not the savings goal and gave them read access. There is no balance or % in the account overview, just the account name and picture.
There is a view_balance
option in the API which does exactly that: Hide the balance of the account for the user you sent the Connect to.
So I'm guessing you used that accidentally/unknowingly when you first setup the account. Not entirely sure if you can modify that now though so you might have to send a new Connect request
@Christian-Olive-Tiger#47176 Good morning!
You might have enabled the "Budget" option when sharing the account?
In this case the account balance is not visible to the other.
I don't know about the API, I just used the bunq app interface. result: no balance, only account name.
I also checked the budget option, and that one is/was unchecked.
