• What happens when you close an account with no transaction history?

So with the switch from Easy Savings to bunq Free, I accidentally created a new payment account. During the switch my IBAN from the free credit card got converted into a main account as well. I closed this one but this made it go to my "archive".

I unfortunately cannot restore that one because according to bunq customer support it would mean I have two main accounts, which my plan doesn't support. My new main account doesn't have any transactions on it yet, so was wondering if accounts with no history also would go to the archive when closed?

Just looking for a way to clean up this mess and not have the archive show up.

@Jeroen92#298015 The archive button will always show up from now on, there's nothing you can do to hide it

@thijsoost#298016 Okay, that's a pity. Hopefully that'll become possible in the future. Do you happen to know if bunq support is at least able to unblock the account? I keep getting a pop-up to upgrade to bunq Pro. They mention there's a limit of 1 main account on the free plan, but I only see mention of 3 accounts (payment/savings) in total.

Hey @Jeroen92#298017 👋 Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and engaging with our community 🌈

I've just checked this internally, and it seems that you've permanently closed the account without the option to activate it again. However, you can easily create a new Savings Account or Bank Account, since it's included in your plan ✅

If you're prompted to upgrade to bunq Pro when you follow the flow to add a new account, this is likely a bug. Please report this to our team via the in-app Support Center so that we can take a closer look and fix this as soon as possible 🛠️

Hi @Maya-Maya#298018! Thank you for your quick response. I see, I don't remember seeing such option but it's definitely possible I missed that. In that case there's unfortunately nothing to be done. Thank you for checking this!
