  • [BUG] EPC-QR-Code not working when "EUR" in currency line

If I scan an EPC-QR-code without a set amount in the Bunq app , the app does not open the transaction screen. Instead, my phone vibrates over and over again.

One of the QR-Codes I tried to scan:
BCD
002
1
SCT
{BIC}
{my name}
{Broker-IBAN}
EUR

{reference}

    Hey there Johannes!

    Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details of your issue in which it seems like the issue occurs specifically when trying to scan a QR code where no amount is specified, and this causes a bug in the app (vibration instead of displaying the transaction screen).

    I completely understand the frustration this may cause, and I want to assure you that I will report this issue to the relevant department for further investigation.

    In the meantime, if you have any further questions or details you'd like to share, please feel free to reply 🌈

        Since the error occurred again today, I tried to debug it and found the source of the error.
        If the QR code contains “EUR” in the line for the currency, it simply doesn't work. If you remove the value from the line, everything works fine.
        Since I believe this is relatively easy to fix, I would be pleased if it is fixed soon.
