  • [SUGGESTION] NFC on Android without Google Pay?

Hi,

I have been using a Google free Android phone for many years. Instead of the notoriously intrusive Google version of Android, I installed E/OS on my phone, and also on the phones of various friends and family, some of whom are also Bunq clients.

Every now and then I look to see if there's a MicroG update for Google Pay, (MicroG is an open source alternative to many of the Google services but which does not capture your data), and although I see there's work on the subject, it's not there yet.

Whilst using a physical card is not a terrible inconvenience, can I suggest that Bunq thinks about supporting the MicroG initiative concerning Google Pay? As the "bank of the free", surely it would chime to be free of Google's collection of your client's data?
