  • Payment proof

Dear bunqers,

Recently there was a news article about a known scam. Someone would respond on a Marktplaats advert (Craigslist), head to the seller, show a proof of payment which is fake and head off with the product.

Wouldn't it be an idea to allow for proof of transaction for normal Iban transactions. For example one user shares a link for transaction status, the other user can then check if the payment has been made to their account.

I know there's other options that allow immediate fund transfer, but not everyone is ready for that yet.

With regards

An enthusiastic bunqer

    Hey Theemstra,

Thank you for your idea and feedback! 😊

I see your point here, however I'm not sure if a real-time status check for a non-real-time service (such as regular inter-bank transfers) would be desirable, when we already offer an equivalent real-time service. In fact, if you send out a payment request to a bunq user, you'll get the money on your bunq account as soon as the other person pays. If instead you send the request to a non-bunqer, and the request is paid via iDEAL, the money will also arrive on your account in real time. Moreover, by navigating to the request link you can always see if the request has been paid already or not 👍

I understand how it could be handy to have a formal payment confirmation to testify that your transfer has indeed been paid out. This is on our wishlist and we'll make sure to update this topic when we have a different option from taking a screenshot or exporting a bank statement! :)

The only real payment proof is money on your account. (Or in your pocket) That is why I just love the iDeal payment option

Never, ever give hoods om a "paymemt proof" It always can be faked . So scanners will try to take advantage of the any system that depends on "payment proof" Don't buy into any sob story. Just ask cash and when the money also comes in via the IBAM payment you can transfer it back.

Money on the bank or money in the pocket, else don't hand over the goods

      .

Does the recipient receive an email notification showing that money is on its way to his/her account?
