P R E not sure about that, display names and usernames are two different concepts, I personally wouldn't like it when usernames and display names on Together became the same.
Jeroen π³οΈβπ I think that is even the reason you get usernames here that are like "Pink-Panther-President"
The reason for these names is to 'guarantee' uniqueness in usernames. The usernames must be unique, otherwise you can't mention people.
Jeroen π³οΈβπ If bunq dislikes more fields, why did they choose to disconnect the bunq.me username from the Together username in the first place?
I can't answer for bunq, but bunq.me does not really have a "username" (unless you refer to the URL part), it used to show your full legal name to add trust, and people wanted to see the ability to change that. Now they are showing your displayname over there as well. Your (public) displayname is now basically "How you appear to others anywhere in bunq; bunq.me, transfers to other bunqers, Together, etc." I can imagine that it would be useful to configure this separately, but then of course I consider myself a 'techie' that likes configuring everything.
