• Loading money into Bunq from Danish bank account

Hello.
I just signed up for Bunq. I reside in Denmark, and only have a Danish bank account(Danske bank). How could I transfer money from Danske bank to bunq?
I tried SOFORT and iDEAL, but they dont seem to cover Danish banks...
Cheers!

@Aravindh-Maroon-Kiwi#54354 Can you create a bank transfer in your Danish banking app/site in euro to your bunq IBAN?

Okay, I just tried, and failed. My Danskebank expects account number in the format of 4 digits + 10 digits (screenshot attached)

But, bunq app gives me a NL00 BUNQ 0000 0000 00 format IBAN. (numbers changed to zeros by me).

      Am I missing something?

@Aravindh-Maroon-Kiwi#54359 That's probably the format of Danish bank accounts, so I think you are creating a normal transfer to another Danish account. You should create an international transfer, because the IBAN of bunq is Dutch. I don't exactly how this works for Dankse Bank, sorry. Make sure you are creating a SEPA payment and not a SWIFT payment. SWIFT is very expensive and SEPA is not.

In my Italian bank you can select if you are transferring to another Italian bank or to an EU bank. The latter is in a separate tab, check if there is this option in your danish online banking.

You have to look for "udlandsoverførsel". Then you'll be able to enter an IBAN number. I have a Danish bank account at Nordea, and I have no problems making transfers to and from my bunq account. I cant imagine this shouldn't be possible from Danske Bank

Tip: in many cases it might be less expensive and/or you might get better exchange rates by sending through a specialised intermediary like TransferWise - instead of having the outgoing (Danish) bank convert the funds before sending out as EUR (note: bunq does, as far as I know, NOT accept incoming transfers in other currencies, but will reject them).
Also, in some countries (especially SEPA countries that do not have EUR as national currency) banks do charge high fees for SEPA transfers (which they still can freely chose to, i.e. making them multiple times as expensive as domestic payments in their currencies).
