Guys, over 70% of mobile phones in Europe is not iPhone. I don't have an iPhone and I don't want one. iPhone is heavily overpriced and overrated. And don't say iPhone is so secure, because that's a myth. Just Google on the words iOS, security and myth and you'll see what I mean. I (and I think a lot of Android users) also want an Android (and Wear OS) solution.
Pay with wearables like a ring

@Thomas-Green-Shark#56786 I've been paying with my Android phone quite some time already. What you can't use is any of the other wearables solutions because it only works with your phone.
The pay ring is rated very high by it's users and it is as safe as a banking card with wireless payment enabled. Big security advantage of the pay ring over the wireless banking card is that it is a lot harder to steal by pickpockets. You don't need to carry your wallet around, just leave it at home (where it is safe). Would be ideal for me.
Same woul apply to pay for WearOS watches.

@Thomas-Green-Shark#56786 Luckily people can choose whether they like iOS or android. Stating that iPhones are overpriced and overrated though without having and iPhone is not really fair. As for security, I think most people in this topic are referring to the fact that no authentication is needed when paying with the ring for example. As for an android solution, there is one, right? I agree that a wear OS solution would be nice indeed!
One correction. I do have an iPhone from my employer. I really tried to get used to it but gave it up and now I use it as little as possible. I would really never ever buy one myself.
On security. A payment ring has exactly the same level of security as your banking card. The technology is comparable. The restrictions on your card also apply to the ring. (Referring to Max wireless payment without pin and Max wireless payment per say etc.)
One big advantage of the ring... You will always have it with you and you don't have to carry a wallet around. And you don't have to worry about pickpocketing. ;-)

I don’t care for those solutions either as Apple Pay is brilliant. Use it on Watch and iPhone. The iPhone appears to be more failproof (Watch sometimes (+/- 5% fail rate) fails on terminals that demand “the card” on top of the screen”) but it’s very nice. And no limit due to the security! Those rings still demand a code over €25.
I understand people would want them though, so I support the idea for Bunq to atleast offer the ability to link a NFC-gadget.

@Thomas-Green-Shark#56786 Just a little off-topic maybe? Buy and use what you want. This topic is about using a wearable or phone for paying...

@Ali#56098 Okay a ring for 99EUR maybe wasted money. But what about Swatch (Bellamy), with NFC? The everyday watch, (waterproof, no charging problem) but a little bit nicer than the plastic card?
It's introduced in switzerland as SwatchPAY: https://mobilepayment.viseca.ch/en/swatch-pay
Maybe bunq could bring a rainbow version? Or simple black?

@SimonM#57104 That’s actually a great idea and I could see myself using a swatch for mobile payment. I like watches and I liked swatches. One of the main reasons I prefer my Apple Watch over my swatch is simply because of the fact I can pay with my Apple Watch. If I could pay with my swatch that be a nice quality of life improvement.

@Heda#57187 Same goes for me, AppleWatch okay, but I miss to wear the swatch (because I can not pay with it):
