  • Paying at IND with Bunq card?

I was curious if the business debit card is an accepted form of payment at the Immigration office as it says Dutch bank cards or cash only? I canโ€™t take the full amount out as the bunq ATM max is 500โ‚ฌ per day and I am scared that they may not accept bunq as a usable card/pin? Anyone know or have used it there??

    @mkaminskaya#56287 Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ,

    Unfortunately I couldn't find any information on their site about it. Perhaps you can give them a call at number (088) 043 04 30. ๐Ÿ‘

    Hope they do accept Mastercard or Maestro there... they probably will.

      Well, bunq is a Dutch bank and issues Dutch bank cards in the Netherlands. Did you receive your bunq card on a Dutch adress? If so, than you will have a Dutch bank card. As Maestro cards are accepted almost everywhere in the Netherlands for cashless payments, I don't think you will encounter issues at the IND.

        Unlike some other countries like Germany or Belgium, we donโ€™t have a national system for card payments like GiroCard or Bancontact.

        All debit cards issues by dutch banks are eiter Maestro or VPay, where Maestro is issued the most.

        So, to answer your question: dutch bankcards = maestro
        bunq card = maestro

          @mkaminskaya#56287 You can use a Maestro card at the IND. As far as I know any Dutch government institution does. Provided they accept bank cards of course.

          If you only have a Mastercard they might not accept it. So you have to check which kind of card you have.
