  • Invoice scanning: upload from camera roll

Make it possible to upload a previously scanned invoice.

Took a quick pic before work, wanted to pay during lunch break and found out you can’t upload.

  • Upload image from scan interface in bunq app
  • select bunq from share sheet extensions to upload directly from iOS camera roll

    Makes total sense

@Lezz#57804 Hi! That's indeed a very good idea, we will take care of it soon!

        Hi bunqers,

With today's release, it is now possible to upload a photo of an invoice! You can check out how to do this here.

Let us know what you think 🌈.

        Cheers

Hi. That's indeed a very good idea

@JeroenE#61901 it already does. You can open an image or PDF-file.

@Bastiaan#61903 No, when I go to the "download" directory on my (Android) phone it only shows images, not PDFs. And yes, they are there in that directory.

@JeroenE#61905 That's strange. On my Android device I also see PDF files, and I can select them.

@Bastiaan#61907 This is the view from the scanning in bunq app when I go to my Download directory : And this is from the file manager in the same directory:

As you can see there are several pdf files and none of them are shown in bunq.

I hope the images are in the right place beacuse the bunq app moves them around all the time (usually I add them on the website).

@JeroenE#61908 Maybe i'm using an other explorer app to select the file to scan.

I can choose between "Files", "Gallery", "Photos", "Drive", "Solid Explorer" and more..
Tested it with "Files" and (Google) "Drive".

@Bastiaan#61919 I can choose Gallery and Photos too, but those will only show images. So I'd understand that those won't show PDF files. I don't use Drive, so I can't test that.

Anyway, I just picked the first one and that one is called "Files". As far as I know that is the built-in one from Google. Isn't that true? My guess is that the bunq app somehow says it wants only image files and thus "Files" will only show images.

@Mat64#61922 Aha, that works! But that doesn't work for images files (because I can't choose bunq there).

So there are different ways of working with the app depending on if it's an image or a PDF. It would be nice if both ways would work the same for both file types.

So you should als be able to open the PDF form the scanning invoice option in bunq and use the file app to open the image file with the bunq app.

@JeroenE#61921 Yeah, "Files" is the default Android explorer app.
But strange that is works different on your Android device. I've tested it with Android 8.0.

                            @Bastiaan#61931 I have 7.1.1 so maybe that's why?

I would think an app is still able to tell Files which kind of files it would want to see. I mean it's a bit strange if Google would have only made a Files app which can only show images, right?

For example when I use the K9 Mail on my phone it uses the Files app too and it shows all kind of files and not only the image files. So there must be something that bunq does differently to tell Files to only show images when in the bunq app.
