Really? How? I was thinking Nfc is offline for security reason on my S8 if Im not logged in. But maybe I will try it, even I would normally use Google Pay with my watch in Daily use

Same for me. I don't seem to be able to use it unless I unlock my phone. But I also didn't think I was supposed to be able to. Can you elaborate?

The ability to use Tap & Pay with your locked phone is possible for the second way to use it: by authenticating between two taps 👍

If you have already enabled Tap & Pay on your device with bunq, you can then:

1. Hold your locked phone up to the payment terminal.

2. Authentication (fingerprint scanner) will pop-up for you to confirm. Go ahead and complete this.

3. Hold your phone back against the payment terminal.

Then you should be all set and your payment will be made 🙌(And that sounds like a pretty awesome way to buy a car, John Do 😎🚙)

Testet it on my Terminal, works indeed even if smartphone is locked. Only problem ist, my Fingerprint sensor is on the back-side :D

So its a Tap, Auth, Tap, Pay instead of Auth, Tap & Pay from Google Pay.

One auth Step less since the last version :) So its indeed an improvement and maybe an alternative to Contactless with card. And the New Limits are great! :)

But i think in 99% i still use my Wear OS Smartwatch with Google Pay ... there i just pres a button twice and hold the watch to the Terminal ^^

@Elise Is there a way to disable authentication for low-amount transactions, like you can with a card?

At this time, we require this quick authentication for all amounts to make sure everything stays secure 💪So you will need to scan your fingerprint for both Tap & Pay options!

@Elise I really hope this will be changed. I don't understand this decision as it is inconsistent with the limits set on a card.

I think it's because there is no limit without Auth implemented in the app. Fastest payment is still smartwatch ;)

@Imrö Yes, and that should be changed in my opinion. Would also love Android Wear (or what is it today, WearOS) support, that'd be sweet.

Do I need a special Android Version to make use of the Bunq widget? I am running Lineage OS 14 and there is no way to make it run. (Even with Nova Launcher as mentioned..) Any information would be very helpfull.
