• Freedom of Choice: Share your investment idea!

@Krisso#68880 Damit kannst du recht haben, allgemein fehlt mir seit dem Update die Transparenz von bunq.

    @Javier-Manza#68787 That’s why i have deactivated everything accept ā€žGreen companiesā€œ.

@Esther-Orange-Unicorn#68914 That’s great, but introducing an option like that, that goes again the basic principles of the platform, not explaining it well enough, and making it checked by default, is crazy.

Freedom and a real free choice needs enough information and transparency. So I hope bunq will make some improvements in this point.

Quindi forzatamente una parte dei risparmi viene investita?
          Ho capito bene?
          Se si.. Quanto?
          E che rendimento

Currently I'm reading the book "Social Business" by Muhammad Yunus. Not finished yet, but so far it is worth reading, imho.

The concept and principles of "Social Business" make a good impression:
"Yunus Social Business believes in the power of business to end poverty. Our Philanthropic Venture Funds finance and support social businesses in developing economies, whilst our Corporate Innovation guide multinationals to apply their core competencies to some of the greatest human challenges."

That's why I'm proposing investments in social businesses.

I would like bunq platform is never used to invest in shady business like bunq sayed for years.

                  Triodos funds. Microloans (kiva, oiko)

Bunq soll sich stark für Kinder machen die in Armut leben

                      1. Monthly Overdraft (minimum € 100)

                      2. Social companies

                      3. (Startup) Green Companies who give discount to our bunq Community (we benefit for lending our money and bunq benefit for having more money šŸ’¶šŸ’³ in bunq users account šŸ˜€šŸ’ŖšŸŒˆ

                      4. Our own microloan system:
Our bunq Community can choose to be a lender (with the specified options for lending to everyone or only family/friends by their invite link and how much you want to lend) or borrower

@Desiree-Violet-Bear#69810 This might be actually interesting

@YTL#69817 My opinion is to keep the money in the bunq system with our own setup microloan and maybe our own shopping mall in bunq etc.

I just switched to Bunq, and I’m disappointed about this new shift.
Especially because you can choose to invest in ā€œall companiesā€. What does that mean? Companies who make weapons? Companies who invest in harming animals, Nature or people?

I don’t want to invest in companies who don’t actively tribute to a better world, and I don’t want to be part of a community with people who do so.

So do I have to change banks again? And change the blogpost I just wrote about ethical banking for entrepreneurs? :(

@Sandra-de-Jong-Communicatie-Aquamarine-Turtle#69830 no you don't, I know "all companies" can be confusing, but bunq has said they won't invest in shady business, so all companies are ethical companies, but they don't have to necessarily be green or sustainable only, that's why there's a separate toggle for green companies. For example bunq might invest in companies doing research in the medical field, and those cannot always be called green or sustainable because they use a lot of plastic or rare-earth elements and metals to build medical devices such as MRI, CAT or CT-scan or Rƶntgen scanner or radio-active Isotope's for cancer treatments.

@DaveFlash#69836 I wish your are right and this would be true, I hope so. But so far there is no statement from bunq to clear this point. Maybe @Ali could respond, I would appreciate so much. If your interpretation of ā€žall companiesā€œ and the ethical investment of bunq is correct and proofed by an statement of bunq, it would be great and calm a lot people here discussing bunqs turn-a-round in investment / ethical policy.

@Esther-Orange-Unicorn#69842 According to the amazing Support department that I spoke today... it could be in theory ANY company within the EU. So they don't have a particular policy that would exclude a specific group of companies.

But fortunately, you can disable this option šŸ‘šŸ‘...
