I tried to withdraw 50 Euros but there was a warning that I will be charged 4.5 Euros as extra fees on the ATM. Is it just a warning as Bunq withdrawal charges are nil? Can someone confirm?

@neo1691#60412 Hi đź‘‹
Unfortunately this is just a fee that Sparkasse charges you for a withdrawal at their ATM, bunq unfortunately can’t do anything about this.
bunq itself will never charge you a fee for withdrawing money as long as you won’t withdraw money more than 10 times a month.
For more info see this topic.
Okay thank you. I will find another ATM.
@neo1691#60415 Sparkasse even charges their own customers the same fee. So it’s no surprise that you have to pay the fee too. Not all Sparkassen are doing this but in my city it’s like this. But who needs cash right? 🤪
I’m in Hamburg and unfortunately very few restaurants/shops except card payments here.
@neo1691#60417 It seems to be a special HASPA Problem. In Berlin the Sparkasse ATMs does not extra charge the bunq-cards. Have you tried the EURONET ATMs they are also free in Berlin, maybe in Hamburg too? Or try Volksbank instead? Reisebank is also free for bunq-cards.
Here are two older threads, where it was discussed some time ago, maybe this could help:

Bei der Mastercard Geldautomaten-Suche kann man auch nach „keine Gebühren“ filtern. Der Datenbestand ist nicht ganz perfekt, es gibt meistens noch mehr ATMs die man kostenlos benutzen kann aber es ist ein guter Anhaltspunkt.

@SimonM#60420 Thank you. I will find them. The funny part is I have another prepaid visa card with some euros preloaded into it and sparkasse never charges that card any extra money.
@neo1691#60457 Did you try the MasterCard? Most atms charge a fee for maestro.
@jho#60458 No. I will try that next time. I just have my maestro yet. Master card is on the way.
Dauert nicht mehr lange dann haben Sparkasse keine Kunden mehr. Neukundengeschäft läuft bei denen bestimmt nicht gut. Viele Altkunden wechseln.
