Blue Baby Bug B.V. I just don't understand why they would need a credit card. For hotels I can understand. They reserve a big amount: the number of days with the rate plus some extra for room service and so on. When the reservation succeeds they know they are going to get paid at least that amount. When you leave they update the transaction with the right amount. All of this actually works on a debit card too.
For Amazon I don't see how this is helpful for them. I can understand they might need to check your card and perhaps charge things to it (advertisement costs, or whatever). But it seems strange they want to reserve a big amount.
After 30 days any pre-authorisation will become invalid (at least for Mastercard). Of course they could re-authorise the amount again.
The same thing can be done with a debit card, as far as I know. So it makes no sense you have to have a credit card. When you google you find lots of answers that a debit card is enough and almost the same amount where people can't put in their new debit card (because the other one expired) so something has been changed just a year or two ago with Amazon. But I can't find why.
I think you misunderstood my comment about Marktplaats, I only use it for selling things second-hand I don't need any more. So that's less than once a month.
If you really do sell lots of things and live of selling on Amazon a separate credit card somewhere else (like ICS: https://www.businesscard.nl/ ) is not that expensive. Of course, not having to pay for it would be even better :)
