Summary in English (as good as I am possible to):
People from Germany experiencing problems with adding / using the bunq account to Paypal for direct debit. Some of them asked the Paypal support to explain this and got the answer that Paypal is curently not accepting the bunq IBAN due to fraud that has come up these days in combination with bunq IBANs and Paypal.
In between we had a short conversation about the German institution SCHUFA (Schutzgemeinschaft für allgemeine Kreditsicherung) and Paypal. We came to the conclusion that Paypal would never ask the SCHUFA when a customer adds a Dutch IBAN as bunq is a bank from the Netherlands. This happens only to check the age and address of the Paypal account owner, as described by me some lines above.
At the end we had a conversations about possible fraud methods (modus operandi) which could have happened. That's it ...
When I opened my account I had to make a copy of my ID and a foto of my nice face. And at the end a scan of my hand. So I think it is no longer possible to open an account by fraud.
All these new experieces will influence the reputation of bunq for sure.
