@Natalie-Maroon-Starfish#63153 I'm Dutch and have been using bunq for about half a year. So how about you, BTW?
I'll probably repeat things others have said (and probably better than me). I'm using Android. Also I might sometimes complain about (lacking) functionality, I'll try to minimise this. At least, I'm guessing you only want design questions and not purely functional. But I think a lot of the missing functionality things are tied in with the desing of the process or pages that are used.
About the app: I don't like the new round buttons on top in the Accounts view for Scan, Request and Pay. If you go into an account the buttons for Request and pay are square. I like those better and it's wierd both look quite different even though they do the same thing. Also why can't I start "scan" when I'm in a specific account?
When you scroll down the text below the three round buttons disappear. Why? If the text is not important than don't show it at all. But I would like it better if the text was always there.
In the Events view the last button is called "Accepted", but if you click on it you get the text "Recurring payments". Don't mix and match different texts for the same view.
A lot of text in the Events view is the same "Card payment", "payment received", "payment sent". I don't care for that description at all. The amount already tells me that I got money or I payed money. I'd rather have something usefull there like the description of the payment, notes I added myself or whatever else actually adds information.
I don't like that most events have there own nice icon but that there are still a lot of generic grey ones. It gives a half finished look and feel.
In the event overview searching is done with the big yellow button with the search glass icon. In an account you have to click on a grey search glass icon somewhere hidden in the corner. Why is this not the same yellow button? The Together menu has yet another different way to search.
Why can't I search for scheduled payments in an account at all but I have to do this from the even overview?
I don't like that some things are hidden behind swiping left. That might be a thing from Apple, but I find it discouraging that I'm supposedly have to swipe all over the place to find things. For example when you are paying and you are selecting an recipient then you can swipe left to delete them. Why is this so hidden? This is also tied to a lack of proper address book functionality, I guess.
When you are going to pay there is a seemingly endless list of "pages" you have to go through where a lot of those page only ask you about 1 thing. I feel this could all be on the same page. Now you have to follow exactly the order which bunq has decided is best for you. Then there are important things like a payment description that don't have there own page and are almost hidden on the last page (ok, it's a bit better now, but it was even worse before).
When you scan an invoice you get all the information on 1 page. This page looks completely different from the normal pay screen. Why not use the same payment screen without all the questions and with the scanned text and amounts filled in? There is also a difference in functionality. For example you can't schedule a scanned payment in the future like you can with a normal payment.
When you scan an invoice why isn't there an option to add the scan as a note to the transaction, and this seems like a really simple thing you woudl actually want to do.
Why can't you enter a transaction note on the payment when you create one and have to wait untill the payment was actually done before you can add this? With payments in the future this is a real pain because you have to remember it instead of just typing it in when you are making the payment.
A lot of questions on together are faq's. If you casually glance at together you don't see this because those topics all get hidden by the moderators. I can understand not wanting to overwhelm actual bunq support, but I think the Private Matters is way to hidden in the app.
There should be a simple page with the faq's instead of a page with two featured topics and some statistics and a big blue plus that people use to open yet another "when do I get my money" or "How can I cancel my account" topic. This link was great: https://together.bunq.com/t/faq but recently some less polished topics are put there (and there are now even two on limits).
About the website: I don't really care for the website, I don't like long pages to scroll through with little information. If you do want information you have to hunt for things like the PDF's with the legal texts.
The thing I used the most is together because it has way more functionality and ease of use than together in the app.
Ads: I think I only say the ad with the half naked woman (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zjr4SlRBCdg ). I don't really like those kind of ads where a semi-naked lady is used to sell stuff. It's the same on the website though. There are a handfull of pictures of women on the main page. Not all, but a lot wear few clothes. Sort of OK if you want to sell a vacation to a sunny place, but why for a bank. Perhaps not the intention, but most pictures feels like a 16 year old straight insecure guy's fantasy. Of course, I'm a middle aged gay guy so I vote for more half naked boys! Oh wait, no, no, no, that's not what I meant! Honest!
But all kidding aside, I think I'd like a more professional feel. All the pictures on the website don't need to turn into a balding man in a suit but there has to be something in between.
