As a developer complete nonsense until the potential userbase is big enough.
F-Droid would afaik require to make the bunq app free software and publish the source code with a compatible license. I think that's unlikely to happen. The best way to completely remove Google from your phone and still have a wide app ecosystem is probably buying an iPhone.
Maybe there are other ways of distributing an Android app besides Google Play or F-Droid that would work for bunq, though.
Bunq can create their own F-Droid repo and offer the app there. There should also no longer apply the FOSS rules of F-Droid. However, users would have to add this manually. I would do it though 👍
