I just got slapped with a 5 Euro fee for receiving money from Australia.
What is the fee for receiving money with the SWIFT code from outside the EU? Is it a flat rate or is it a percentage?
Are there any ways to get around this?

No ways to get around with Swift payments. Itβs always 5 euros for payments less than 10k euros. More if the amount is bigger. Details are in the cost sheet (PDF) on the bunq website.
You donβt have to pay this fee if you use Transferwise to send money from your Australian account to the bunq account. In that case you only pay some fees to Transferwise that are probably less than what you paid for the Swift transfer in total. But I recommend checking for yourself.
Hi π @Leon-Orange-Turtle#66317
There are 3 different rates for receiving SWIFT payments. These incoming payments cost extra as they need to be processed manually by bunq. You can find all costs in the pricing document on this page.
You can prevent these costs by using a service like TransferWise to revert it into a SEPA transfer. This should also save commissions or fee's in comparison to the currency exchange from traditional banks.
Hi, I used my Wise account to send USD to Bunq, and even for sending 100 USD I paid 10 euro SWIFT fee.
How would you revert it to SEPA transfer in Wise and what is the updated (total) cost for receiving SWIFT payment for bunq? Is it always a flat fee?
@New-White-Pelican-3068638096#283004 Hey there, Beata π Thanks for reaching out to us!
I understand you wish to send USD to you bunq account. I see you already have a USD local currency account. This being the case, the easiest way to send money to your bunq account is through the ACH routing number , which allows transfers to your USD account for only β¬0.70.
