@LH-Black-Wolf#72293 bunq replied quite early in the discussion; ➡️ https://together.bunq.com/d/8712-we-need-to-reserve-the-right-to-not-accept-interest-spaarrente/112. I prefer bunq spending their resources on actually solving problems / building new features than giving us an update on every topic every x days. They said they're working on it, they have no obligation at all to answer/update us. The fact that we have this forum is a privilege, not a right. Just give bunq some times. Features can't be deployed in 2 days. They need at least cycles of design, implementation and testing. And probably some legal checks as well in this case. Calling this "arrogance" I find kind of rude to be honest towards the efforts bunq is putting into the services they provide. I can guarantee you that bunq employees are aware of the situation. Give them some time and they'll most likely come up with a nice solution. And when you don't like the solution you always have the freedom to leave (but I'd rather see them fixing it tbh 😛).

    @Sander#72334
    I didn't ask for an update on every topics every x days.
    I didn't ask for an immediate fix "within 2 days". (Even if they take a year, makes no difference to me)
    I didn't say they would not come up with a solution, evidently: they likely are as was described above.
    So that's all stuff I didn't say nor suggest and thus nothing but a frame. I don't think it's fair to be doing that just because someone has criticism on standing communication policy, rather than singing praise and halleluja because the company "allows you" to say something by their divine grace.

    No, what I called arrogance is the complete dismissal of all the clients that were shocked with the news. Not caring enough at all to take 30 seconds to post the update here (and seriously, I don't count that copy/paste PR-response.), but do take the time to answer the question on a completely different website: I think that's really weird. How hard can it be to post a simple update? And that's what I think is rude: not communicating and ignoring everyone, but do give an update elsewhere instead of on your own website. And that has nothing to do at all with the developers time nor bunq's effort, I made zero comments about that nor (attemped to) raise(d) any such notion. All I commented about was the full lack of communication and nothing more.

    Anyway, we're not going to convince each other on all the other points anyway, Ali finally said it's probably going to be fixed - so there's no point in arguing this any further anyway. Just please don't try to frame me again with things I never said, that's not cool. I do seem to sense the suggestion, and correct me if I'm wrong, that Together is not the place to have criticism. If that's so: I'll keep that in mind and seek other venues to utter annoyances.

    So now all we can do is wait and for those who have a problem with this, hope Ali actually means it and that it'll be fixed. In time.
    Enjoy your evening. :)

      @Bernd-Teal-Share#72263 You're absolutely right about that. However, I did get an email about MassInterests being introduced.
      You probably got the e-mail as well, it had a subject among the lines of "get the best interests in the world". Maybe it ended up in your spambox.

      But no, I don't think any mention was made of the terms & conditions of bunq changing. So for that particular point: no, just like you I did not get such an email. It's not in the topics either. However, they did note in the terms "We might change this agreement from time to time.". Whether or not that's enough is perhaps a different story. :)

        @DaveFlash#72283 Amazing! Thank you for the update!!

          @DaveFlash#72283 Nice!! Thanks for updating in this topic✌🏽

            Hello altogether!

            Although there has been much discussion on this topic and everything has already been said, I would like to once again bring attention to this and ask Bunq

            • to offer the interest-switch before the first interest payment at the end of this month
            • and at best to deactivate interest rates by default for users not from the netherlands

            Why?
            Because many people certainly do not know that they have to declare an interest payment in their tax return, as domestic banks automatically pay the tax. In the worst case scenario, Bunq's users will unknowingly conflict with the tax authorities because they did not declare their interests!

            I think it's Bunq's job to make the user aware of this and to enable them to make an informed choice!

            For me, receiving interest would mean wasting many hours this year on a tax return that I would not otherwise have to file...
            I love Bunq! But that would give it a bitter taste :(

              @Valentin#73159 Very good point.

                @Ali Nikham are there any updates on this suggestion?

                  @Moustafa#73398 bunq will announce a feature, when it's ready and online. They love to surprise us, so please be patient :)

                    Nutze jetzt erst mal bunq Free bis die Sache geklärt ist. In deutschland gibt es eine tolle gratis Bank „Tomorrow“ sie ist ökologisch, ethisch und 100% transparent. Ich hoffe bunq wird es in Zukunft auch wieder. Auch die Zinsen sollte bunq besser kommunizieren, ich möchte wegen bunq nicht extra eine Steuererklärung machen müssen

                      Just got an iOS-Update. The „I don‘t want interests“-switch is now at „My Money“ available. Yay! :)

                        Boiiiiis we did it!

                        That's a great implementation. We can choose to receive interest without it depending on what we choose to invest our money in.

                          @l#73442 Haha yeah I should've cropped that out. That's because I still haven't changed my Apple ID that I created while living there. Now I'm back in Germany so I could really make a new one I guess.

                          Edit: Now nobody will know :p

                            Well done Bunq for giving the option to receive or not to receive interest 😀.

                              @Zaka-Flocka-Flame#67047 you can now diable rente. update the app and go to my money

                                WOOOOOO!!! Amazing! Can’t wait for the update! Bunq delivers 🌈❤️❤️❤️

                                  OMG BUNQ❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈
