Heiko Hartwig Keep your pants on and please refrain from shouting (capitals).
Bunq did not show pricing because those 2 cards are free. Nice huh?
Aha! So that could be the problem I'm facing. So the new 'online' cards are also not proper credit cards and thus useless abroad? Thanks ! (Dunno how to include your names)
Axel What do you mean "abroad" you can only use them when no physical card is required (like online). I guess you could call shopping at Amazon "abroad"?
Axel They can be used abroad np (although the virtual cards only online or with apple/google pay), but like any other debit card not for most hotels and car rentals unfortunately.
Jos They have to make money!
Nurullah I underdstand, but see it as a promo so people can try it. It's not like they have to create a real card now
Great. There was no pricing when I was meddling around with it so I deleted one card, assuming it was free and de facto unlimited.
Nathan Mansell When I create a virtual card and delete it later does that still count or can I always create a new one as long as I do not create more than 5 at the same time? I already deleted one so do I still have 5 or only 4 now which I can create?
Daniel yes, you can have up to 5 at the same time and create a max of 20 per year.
Is this extra 9,99 a one-time fee, monthly of yearly costs?
Arno
Tom If you wish to have more than 5 online cards, it is €9,99 per month for an additional 5.
Nathan Mansell This completely defeats the purpose of having online cards. Why the maximum of 20? Especially since you are charging the customers. They barely cost anything to you. Seems unfair.
Kerim I see your point and thought the same at first, but would you truly use more than 5? I would be interested to know how you would them then (if you want to share). 😁
Sander Netflix, icloud, 3-4 online orders from merchants that I’d like to control, HP Ink,... list goes on. I personally always use disposable cards when ordering for the first time to make sure I’m safe with the merchant.
👍🏻
Kerim Why don‘t you create a „Scam-Protection“ bank account and one virtual card for it and use it for the first transaction. Just top-up the account with the amount needed (leave it at 0,00€ if not needed) and you are save. When the shops pass your test just change the payment details. 😊 This is, how I will solve this - virtual cards looks like the perfect solution to me! 💪💳🌈
Jos You could use them with curve and have a free bunq account with a physical card. I think that is the reason.
Oké thank you 👍🏻
Phil Exactly, which is why the limit of 5 seems very low.
Kerim Can you explain why? I think (personally) I will just need 2 or 3 virtual cards: 1) Scam Card (for shops I don‘t trust) 2) Subscription card 3) (Online-shopping card)
Not sure if I need 3) or will use 2) and 3) as one.
What is your use case?
