Johannes 🇦🇺 I can't talk for other people, but I didn't find rerouting confusing at all. I can understand that it was not an easy job for bunq to keep this working. However, I would say they should first thought of a better way rather than just deleting it completely and thinking everybody would be happy. Only when people started to complain they were telling us they did this because it was lot's of work for them and then "we will try to make something better". I think the virtual cards idea was surfaced rather quickly.
I think that if they took another approach and would start by telling us that this was generating so much work the current situation was not workable anymore and they had to change this into something which was less work it would've gone done much better. People would now why, could've gave them the virtual cards idea before they deleted the rerouting and much more. And I'm pretty sure that even when there wouldn't be another apporach at least you'd know a few months in advance rather than "Look at this new update, and BTW sorry about your rerouting that doesn't work anymore and the failed payments you got".
I gave the crypto example exactly for that reason. I think this is not something you should talk about investing in as a bank. If people want to speculate, sure, go ahead. There are already plenty of ways you can do it so why should bunq build another one.
It would've been nice if they would have made a list like the 10 most common asked for options and then just say this one we made, this one we didn't because reasons and sorry about all the others but we could only create so many in the time we reserved for this.
I'm not a PR or marketing person at all (I like to complain too much anyway). But if I can think of ways of telling these kind of things in a more positive way I don't understand why people whose job it is can't.
I didn't open 50 topics with the same topic, although I guess I made one with all of them combined even when some of them were already ventilated. Of course, searching in Together is still very limited and I didn't find all the tings I wanted to write.
I guess this is something we have to deal with just like there are daily topics about people asking how long the transfer will take, how toclose their account, how to get a RIB for the French people and all the other common questions that appear all the time.
